More Manzanera Music
Not
one to rest easy when there is music to be made,
guitarist, producer and David Gilmour collaborator
Phil Manzanera is preparing to release
a range of albums on his own Expression Records
a new studio album, a 2CD+DVD career
retrospective and a Christmas carol reissue.
Monday 10th November is the release date for
all three, of which the all-new studio album
Firebird V11 features Leszek Mozdzer
on keyboards and vocals. Leszek of course features
on David's On An Island album and the
concert in Gdańsk. For more information,

Albatross! David Serves Up Seabird To Jools.
David
guests on the BBC Radio 2 Jools Holland show,
broadcast on Monday 10th November, and
in the process will perform Albatross
the 1968 Fleetwood Mac instrumental,
as opposed to the Monty Python sketch.
David chats to Jools about the Live In Gdańsk
album and performs the song with Jools' rhythm
section.
The show is broadcast in the UK from 10.30 to 11.30pm,
and is available live via the Internet here,
but it should be available again via the BBC UK-only
iPlayer Internet function. If you still miss it, the
BBC have been granted permission to run the track
on their Web site, so look for it here
from Tuesday 11th November onwards.
