What a change in venue from the previous night. Barely any seating in a place that is essentially a big bar. The crowd, estimated at 512, crowded the floor in front of the band. Creating a "up close and personal" feel. I was surprised at the turnout with the club being no where near capacity. I guess I could write it off to being mid-week and people have to work in the morning, but, it was their loss as the band seemed looser to me. There was also evidence that technical gremlins don't shun this band either, while the crew had a bit of fun at the girls expense. Jamie got a view of some bodily functions, drawing cheers from the crowd as he called to the side of the stage for a towel for a audience member.

Personally, it was another great experience. I had the chance to roam the crowd from back to front. Check out the view from upstairs, the sides of the stage and watch the machinations of the crew and engineers. Even when things went a bit awry, they maintained their demeanour and worked on fixing things as the band played on. It was very interesting to behold.

Maybe it was just me, but it seemed as if the closeness of the crowd made the band stretch out a bit. This is not to say in any way that I thought it was better than Clearwater, just different in feel. Everyone seemed to enjoy the closeness of the crowd. Mike commented that he liked this type of venue better because the crowd was so much closer, rather than being separated by a security section in front of the stage. "This is the way it's supposed to be", he told me. Everyone seemed a bit more demonstrative, which might be frowned on in another venue, but not here. It was more like a rock and roll show in some ways, I liked it. It also showed me flexibility on the bands part. Between running through the technical gremlins and changing the feel to fit the venue, The Aussies showed versatility and personality Wednesday night. Another mark of a group of true professionals.

Everything I wrote previously held true regarding the bands performance and the crowd showed their appreciation over and over.

This audience member would like to thank the band for their friendship, allowing me the honour of hanging out before and after the show, snapping pictures and chatting when they had a job to do. It's not often you can make new friends in the midst of the choreographed chaos of a gig. Thanks again guys and girls, I'll see you on Tuesday in Columbus!
