Last night's show at The Scranton Cultural Center was another smash with the audience. Practically performing callisthenics with standing ovations, although it seemed that they were very solo oriented. Giving each band member special consideration when they took the spotlight.

Size restrictions meant no inflatables, but that had no effect on the full house last night.

Gareth wrestled with the unusual ceiling lines and balcony, keeping his mix pristine under difficult circumstances. It seemed to me that the band members each had a bit of extra fire. Damian, Mike and Jamie ignited the crowd, while Ola's reading of Great Gig had them in the palm of her hand. Ian and Paul's interactions musically and visually were fun to watch, again, I seated close enough for eye contact, yet, far enough to take in the whole production. I spent more time this show watching Jason, how effortless he makes his work appear, how his lush soundscapes glue the timeless pieces together. Then the ladies, wonderfully talented and visually striking, their choreography practically mesmerizes.

I found myself smiling widely watching friends from home enjoy their first Aussie experience. They had worked with CE before, one a accomplished vocalist who was totally blown away by Ola, the other, a wonderful drummer who was picking up things from Paul all night. They'd keep looking over, mouthing to me," WOW!" or other unprintable exclamations. Having performed with and seen CE many times, I chuckled at," They sure have all of the TOYS"!!

After the show, in a nearby pub, audience members repeatedly approached Damian, Ian and I (apparently, I bear enough resemblence to Jason to be mistaken for him). Time after time, hearing how great the show was, I was terribly embarrassed at first, but when Damian went along with them, we had many great laughs during my late evening "surrogate Jason" role. Thanks Jason, Angie from the pub was a delight! Thanks again Aussies, Aussie fans and everyone who took a extra moment to accommodate and make me feel at home. It makes me want to spend more time with the whole bunch, maybe next year!

I miss you all already, best of luck with the final few shows and have a safe journey home my friends. Hope to see you all really soon!

Greg
