The Liverpool crowd is always the loudest, but last night’s show at the Liverpool Pops was really special. By the time the second set was underway, 5,000 scousers were word perfect, and considerably louder than the band. Another stunning show, starting with Dark Side of the Moon and followed by a great “best of” selection, including Set the Controls, Pigs, Nobody Home and Comfortably Numb, which as ever, brought the house down.
The expanded line-up of 11 band members has gone from strength to strength on the tour this year, and arrived in Liverpool ready to demonstrate that this is one of the best live shows in the world today. The audience was in no doubt about that.
