This after seeing Genesis suck Friday at The Bowl, boy did that show blow. I have heard about TAPFS on and off through the years but never gave it much thought. I am mid-aged, so I have seen PF quite a bit over the years and saw Waters 4 times since last year. They were a mirror image of the PF I remember, from the music to the vocals and the show itself was outstanding. I would have to say it might even have made my top-10 of all time, it was just unreal. My GF who can be a real sourpuss at times was totally blown away. The Greek btw is also just a great venue; it has an amazing history and seats around 6000. They don’t police you like the bowl, you can smoke a bowl and step up and order a JW red and never get hassled, the way it used to be. Anyhow, I am going to fly back and see them in NY at the end of their tour, that is for sure – what a gem and a hidden treasure. You cats are lucky to have found them and I can kick myself for not doing it earlier myself.
I saw the doors in the late 60s, Zep in the early 70s - I have been to a few shows in my time. This show was so off the hook I cannot stop thinking about them. She turned to me during the 2nd or 3rd song and said, now I see what you see in PF! The Waters shows are great, but this sound had it all, they are amazing musicians, the lot of them.
