Last night was night 1 of my 3 show stretch. It definitely would not let me down. I put on my Aussie shirt and Floyd hat and we headed into Boston around 6:15, hoping not to hit any traffic from the celebration of the new World Series Champions, my Boston Red Sox. Luckily we were good. We arrived to the Agganis Arena at about 7:45 after stopping for some food. People in line were talking about the show, not knowing what to expect. 1 of my friends, who has never seen then before, was amped. I told everyone they would not be let down. As we entered the arena I stopped at a table to pick up the school master shirt and the new DVD. Yes, thats right, the NEW dvd. It has 15 songs and was filmed on May 4th from the RAH. So we finally get to our seats, floor, center, row 11. Right in the middle. It was great.

8pm hits and the Australian Dark Side logo pops up and the heartbeat begins.

The lights go out and the band enters the stage, everyone goes crazy.

The set list is as follows:

The Dark Side of the Moon (full)

-----15 minute intermission-----

Shine on You Crazy Diamond (Pt 1.)
Learning to Fly
Take it Back
Set the Controls For The Heart of the Sun
Pigs (Three Different Ones)
Nobody Home
Wish you Were Here
One of These Days
Shine On (Pt 2)
Another Brick in the wall Pt 2

---Encore---

Comfortably Numb
Hey You
On The Run

I'm 99% sure this is correct list and order. I meant to bring a pen and paper just to be sure, but of course that was the last thing on my mind. All in all, this show was BADASS. These guys totally ripped it up. Some key notes about the night:

Stage setup seemed a bit smaller but bulked out, giving no room for the pig this time, but have no fear, Skippy was there!! They blew him up during One of these Days, which is when they usually do.

The ladies were as phenomenal as ever, especially the 2 sharing parts for Great Gig.

Ian Cattell really blew everyone out of the water when he did Nobody's home. But where were your glasses, Ian?

The money solo between Jamie Humphries and Damian Darlington was as incredible as ever. These 2 have got this down to the T and their timing is incredibly perfect.

Jamie Humphries is easily one of the best guitarists I have ever seen in my life. His solos were probably the highlight of my night. All I could do was wait for him to bust out something crazy, and each time he did it was worth it. Between Money, Hey You, and my favorite solo of the night, Set the Controls, this guy is NASTY. You should see him play STCFTHOTS, I was in awe, his technique was ridiculous and he nailed the part right on.

I'd have to say my favorite parts of the show were Nobody's Home and of course, Hey You. Just incredible songs and these guys have really cover it. Vocally they sounded amazing, especially Ian yelling out those notes, man he sounded just like Waters.

Another thing that really got the crowd up was when Carl put on a Red Sox hat, then a fan gave Jamie their hat and he put it on. At one point, Carl gave his hat to Damian, so Damian and Jamie were sporting the Boston Red Sox and battling on guitars and everyone was going insane. It was really a moment I won't forget.

All in all, another incredible show easily topping last years. The only thing that got to me was that there were so many open seats. Last year was pretty much sold out, this year definitely didn't sell as much, but I think Van Halen was in town so thats my guess as to why.

Next stop, Manchester, NH on Friday. See you then!
